Hibbard’s court was best described as patient, with a desire to give a fair hearing compounded with mercy and common sense.
The former Hibbard Elementary School and later the Hibbard alternate school were named after Judge
Hibbard. Like so many of Pittsfield’s other original schools, these two schools have closed.
