THE HON. CHARLES GOODRICH
Born in Weathersfied, April 1720. Died Jan. 15,1815 AE 96. Under Whitield he obtained hope in Christ 1741. Came to Pontoosuc in 1752. Built the first house in Pittsfield 1754 & in 1764 joined the church. He was many; years a Justice of The Peace & at Boston he represented the town. In 1777 a volunteer in Bennington Battle. From 1781 to 1788 a Judge of the Berkshire County Court. He lived piously and died in peace. The remains of his second beloved wife, Hannah Ward, res beside him.
Some of his children and grandchildren repose in the Albany Cemetery.
